Because you buy this book, you have to know what to expect. If you're not a fan of TJ's youtube videos, you most likely won't enjoy it. Many of his ideas are considered radical, and although he speaks the truth (albeit his opinions most of the time), he can still be considered offensive. I personally understood and expected that, and I enjoyed the book greatly. He touches on a lot of different topics, from his personal struggles with depression, to feminism, to general politics. Despite parts where he crudely criticizes American Media, most of his speech is well-organized and sensical.
A lot of other reviews mention the blatant spelling errors. These ARE annoying, and I can't understand how they got through to publishing without anyone having proofread. However if you enjoy the content, it's easy to overlook.
So if you're a fan of TJ Kirk on the internet, I highly recommend this to you.

It was a great book that is recommended to your average American that is sick of the rich and republicans that rule america
In all fairness, TJ has done himself well here. I concede to the previous points (one's that cropped up while I was reading) but largely it was a pleasurable read accessible, humorous and representative of TJ's character (and moniker, The Amazing Atheist).

Anyone who enjoys his Youtube channel will largely enjoy this book.
T.J. Kirk, AKA TheAmazingAtheist, should really stick to YouTube videos. He certainly has good voice and some great ideas (that's not to say that there isn't plenty on which to disagree with him), but his ability to express himself is restrained by his poor writing skill. As others have pointed out, the very first word is misspelled! Furthermore, the formatting looks like the work of a lazy high school student trying to increase his page count by increasing the font and margin size. From the outset, the book comes across as self-indulgent by providing uncared-for details about Kirk's personal life. He would be better off by getting straight to the polemics. Just to reiterate many of his ideas are really quite good. But he should have put more effort into producing a more polished and refined product. If he worked at it, he would make a great columnist, but for now the quality of his work is exemplary of what you might expect from a self-publisher.
After consuming my daily provided intake of orange-dusted snacks and Mountain Dew, I always like going online and reading about the true Amerikkkan society that our brainwashing capitalist media doesn't cover (I'm looking at you Faux News). Mr. Kirk, known by his YouTube pen name TheAmazingAtheist, delivers brave insight on the corrupt state of affairs in the United States and the facade that the Christian Right carry over all of our affairs. His message, as encapsulated within this novel, delivers a brave and euphoric message that has indeed proven controversial to the nation. Only these brave media warriors in the blogosphere can say what really goes down in the Western World; it is only with the help of nonreligious middle class white teenage boys that we can hope to educate the masses on how other demographics are the true causes of our problems. As a whole, I am enlightened by this book; not because of some phony critic's blessing, but because of, T.J Kirk's intelligence.

I don't know where to begin. Whether it's the awkward, unmusical prose, the total absence of depth, the eye-rolling stabs at humor, or the abundance of typos, this book has nothing for everyone. I mean for chrissake, the first word in the book is misspelled! If that's not a bad omen, I don't know what is.

But by far the worst offense of 'Uprising' is its sheer lack of content. Presumably to hide this fact, the font has been scaled up big-time. Each page only has about 160 words. Multiply this figure by the page count (192), and you end up with just under 31,000 words. To put this in perspective, professionally published novels typically run at 80,000 to 100,000 words. At $15, you're getting a fizzle for your buck at best. So be warned.

Now, I like TJ and will continue to watch his videos, but this book was a huge disappointment. I really hope TJ learns from this mistake and releases a better, more robust book in the future. Until then, a revised edition would be nice.
T J Kirk puts an honest portrayal on his day to day ongoings in life and encapsulates his well thought out point of view on the world around us.

i found the book entertaining, however i also thought the book was to short and has some mistakes that could have been easily avoided for example on one of the earlier pages were it should say had the book said hda . Overall the books shortcomings are few and far between (with the exception of the length) and i think are forgivable.
